Green Horizon is a non-for profit quarterly magazine published by the Regional Environmental Center for Central and Eastern Europe (REC). Green Horizon accepts external funding to secure financing for its publishing and to contribute financially to the REC’s mission-driven operations. All funding received by Green Horizon fully complies with the REC’s general funding requirements, as well as with the requirements of this magazine policy on advertising and sponsorship.
1. The editorial content of Green Horizon is strictly independent from its advertising and sponsorship.
2. A clear visual distinction is maintained between all advertising in Green Horizon and its editorial content. No hidden advertising is accepted by Green Horizon.
3. Green Horizon and the Regional Environmental Center for Central and Eastern Europe (REC) cannot be held responsible for the content, aim or consequences of any advertising published in the magazine.
4. Green Horizon encourages advertising and sponsorship from socially and environmentally responsible companies and organisations.
5. Green Horizon reserves the right to refuse false or misleading advertising.
6. Green Horizon reserves the right to refuse advertising and sponsorship from companies or organisations whose activities contradict the mission of the REC.
7. No advertising or sponsorship will be accepted that could harm in any way the credibility and the good name of Green Horizon or the REC.
8. A decision to refuse advertising or sponsorship is made by the magazine’s editorial board and editor.
9. All income from advertising and sponsorship to the Green Horizon is a donation to the operation of the REC in achieving its mission.
10. Graphic requirements for all advertisements are made available by the Green Horizon publishing team.
11. Advertising and sponsorship rates are published and made available by the Green Horizon ad sales team.
12. Advertising and sponsorship in Green Horizon complies with the legislation of Hungary and the EU.
