The Information Exchange Department recruited GABOR HEVES as its new Database Officer. In addition to helping develop the REC's online Internet services, Gabor will help develop the REC's in-house databases. Gabor graduated with an M.Sc. in Environmental Sciences from the Central European University.
ZOLTAN TOTH is our new Canadian/Hungarian intern who will work on a Survey on National Sustainable Development Policies in CEE and on the development of the Sustainable Development Gateway under a project with the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) in Canada.
A former REC Junior Fellow and graduate from the Tokyo University, RYO KOSAKA has joined the REC as a new Project Officer, now working with the Public Participation Team.
REC's Finance Department welcomed a new bookkeeper and cashier in September - ANDRAS SZABO from Budapest, who replaced GABRIELLA PETROCZKI.
ALICA BACULAKOVA, after having been Assistant with REC's Information Exchange Department, replaced TAMAS MAGYAR as LOOD's Assistant. Tamas moved over to the REC's Conference Team while MALGORZATA MAZUREK, a recent graduate from the Central European University in Environmental Sciences, came on board as Alica's replacement.
ELIDA METAJ left the Capacity Building Department to return to her home in Albania.
And MARTA KACZYNSKA joined the Polish Local Office as its new Project Manager.
