LEE DAVIS, armed with a master's degree in international development from the Johns Hopkins University Institute for Policy Studies and two years of civil society experience in CEE, will develop a public participation training module and training-of-trainers program for REC Initiatives.

CHRISTY DUIJVELAAR returned in November to research her master's thesis on East-East cooperation among environmental NGOs in Central and Eastern Europe. She will remain at the REC until March.

ANGELIKA HALASZ joins the Earmarked Grants Team as a grants assistant.

Information Exchange found a project officer for the Business Information Service. PAWEL KAZMIERCZYK brings real international flavor with him: he received an environmental engineering degree in Poland, a graduate degree in environmental management in the Netherlands, and a graduate degree in International Relations in the United States. He also served as an intern at The World Bank.

With the REC expanding like a balloon, ROZALIA MACSAI has been added to HOP/ Finance as payroll coordinator.

The REC has a new voice. ORSI SZERENYI joined the staff as the receptionist.

DITTA TOTH started as a full-time volunteer with the Government and Public Affairs Team. She is a landscape architect with a strong interest in environmental protection.

The Finance Team hired GENINA ZAKARIAS to help with fiscal matters.

Going

The REC's EU approximation expert, LASZLO BENCZE, left after finishing a status report on the subject.

The original BIS project officer, EMIL DZURAY, returned to his cushy environmental consulting job at LMI in Baltimore after serving a one-year tour of duty in Budapest.

ANDREA MOLNAR gave up her post as the "voice" of the REC.

AGNES PECZE has finished her contract and hopes to leave soon for England, where she will continue to study the English language.


JIM SEBASTIAN presents a communications strategy for the EMTC network.

After developing a communication strategy for the EMTC Network, JAMES SEBASTIAN returned to the snowy streets of Washington, D.C.

KERRY ZOBOR, marketing officer for the BIS, bid the REC adieu at the end of 1995.

Moving

Now that the EAP translations are finished, MELITA ROGELJ has changed titles. She is now Local Office and Outreach Team project coordinator, responsible for coordinating the Intern Exchange Program (Leadership Training) and helping to prepare for REC activities in Yugoslavia and Bosnia-Hercegovina.
