A N N O U N C E M E N T
The REC is inviting leading CEE environmental experts to work on environmental issues of their choice. Their work should solve specific environmental problems or summarize important materials or contacts related to environmental policy, legislation or management.
Senior Fellows will have the opportunity to use the REC's resources during a sabbatical at the REC. A project coordinator will organize a professional and customized program for each fellow, enabling him or her to work independently during the Fellowship term. Senior Fellows will be requested to hold a lecture summarizing their area of interest, including relevant experience and the topic which they have chosen to address. This presentation should also include their goals and the methodology they will use to achieve them.
The REC will cover all travel and accommodation costs including one visit to a neighboring CEE country, and will provide Fellows with a modest stipend and adequate working conditions at REC Head Office in Budapest.
WHO CAN APPLY?
Senior CEE environmental experts who have worked with governments, academic institutions or NGOs, and who have influence over the development of environmental policy in their home country are encouraged to apply. Potential Fellows should have a good command of spoken and written English, basic computer skills and a post-graduate degree or equivalent experience in the environmental field. Minimum eight years of work experience with any number of environmental organizations is also necessary.
