Changing faces at the local offices

Things have been hopping at the REC's local offices over the last three months. MIRNA VLASIC replaced HRVOJE CARIC as the local office assistant at the Croatian office. Hrvoje left for Sweden where he will take environmental studies at Lund University.

The Czech Republic and Estonia now have REC local coordinators, putting one local representative in each of the 13 countries the REC serves. HELENA MARKOVA will work out of Prague, and MARET MERISAAR will run the show in Tallinn. Both have extensive experience with NGOs in their respective homelands.

In Latvia, VITA SINANE joins Una Blumberga at the local office in Riga. She will look after the books as the financial administrator.

KATARINA DIMITROVSKA left to help the U.S. government's nascent Democracy Network get its feet off the ground in Macedonia. MELITA IVANOVA, previously the local office assistant, has taken the reins as the Macedonian local office representative. LENCE DIMITROVSKA replaces Melita as the new assistant.

The Romanian local office also lost ADRIANA STOICA, former financial officer, to the Democracy Network in Romania. Good luck to both her and Katarina at their new posts.
