Nicolas Johnson
This is Nicolas's last issue as editor of The Bulletin. He left the REC in April after one and a half years in the Information Exchange Team. After he attends a course in deep ecology at Schumacher College in England, he expects to return to Eastern Europe to travel, write and become more active in the international environment movement.
Dalibor Kysela
Dalibor left the Earmarked Grants Team in April after working there since the end of 1993. Besides administering grants, he also became involved in issues related to the Danube River Basin. Dalibor will return to the Slovak Republic where he will continue to work on transboundary issues with the Fund for the Development of the Carpathian River Euroregion.

Alexander Chvorostov
Alexander joined the REC in April as co-ordinator of a feasibility study for establishing new regional environmental centers in countries beyond the mandate of the REC's head office in Budapest. Alexander is originally from Moscow, but he comes to Budapest from Vienna where he was studying the sociology of education in transitional countries at the Institute for Advanced Studies.
Jeff Gailus
Jeff Gailus joined the Information Exchange Team in April. He will edit The Bulletin and other publications such as the annual report. Jeff has a degree in English literature and history from the University of Calgary in Canada. Before coming to the REC he was a freelance journalist based in Budapest.
Nikoletta Nagy
Nikoletta is a native of Budapest, Hungary who comes to the REC from New Jersey where she spent six months as an administrator, canvasser, and lobbyist for the New Jersey Public Interest Group. She is part of the Information Exchange Team, and is now responsible for distributing REC publications and updating the events database.
Entela Pinguli
Entela is the first Albanian to work at the REC's head office. She first came to the REC as a junior fellow one year ago, and she is now administering grants in the Earmarked Grants Team. While in Albania, she administered grants for the Open Society Foundation for Albania.
