For those who cant get to South Africa
this August - September, there are several web sites that will make it
possible to follow events at the Johannesburg World Summit on SustainableDevelopment
(WSSD).
The United Nations is the host of the event, and the organisations
official WSSD site might be a good place to look for breaking news, as
well as other links.

The Regional Environmental Center for Central and Eastern Europe (REC)has
a site describing the various activities that the organisation will undertake
in Johannesburg. You can find it online at: <www.rec.org/rio+10>
Another good site for current developments is the Stakeholder Forums
Earth Summit web site, which is apparently updated on a regular basis.

The web site of the Regional Environmental Center for Central
and Eastern Europe (REC)offers a portal to environmental information in
Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). A new feature of the site allows users
to search the REC's library holdings online.
